Jon Connor has found his "Calling"

Jon Connor aka Duce-O is a twentyyear old rapper/producer/ghost writer/ beat maker/ R&B song creator &Co-CEO of Avie Squad Records. Jon Connorwas born and raised in Flint, Michigan. He was raised on Flint’s North Side in a neighborhood locatedoff of the notorious Dayton Ave. Dayton Ave. is also home to one of Flint’s legendary rap groups The DaytonFamily. He began rapping at the youngage of 10. By the age of 14 he founded his own independent record label “AvieSquad Records” with Co-CEO Jason Monk. Using money that he earned doing odd jobs in the neighborhood, JonConnor created a low budget studio in his mother’s basement.

As a freshman in high school JonConnor began selling his own mixtapes out of his school backpack and out of thetrunk of his mother’s car with the help of his older sister. By 18, Jon Connor had developed a name forhimself in the Flintmusic scene. He completed an entiremovie score for the independent Basketball Documentary Film Flint Star “TheMotion Picture”. To complete the moviescore he used new and some old music that dated back to when he was 15 yearsold. He later went on to shoot his firstindependent music video that same year.

Now at the ripe age of 20, heteamed up with the southern based beat making team of E. Rude and Kev Williamsto create the mixtape/album (The Calling Pt. 1 The Prequel). His label Avie Squad Records has releasedmore than 10 underground mixtapes within the last five years. However, this is the most professional andclassic material to be released to date from Jon Connor. The “Calling” is an awesome blend of pure hiphop flow, unique beats, solid production, and realistic content. Jon Connor is a young musical talent who willbe a force in urban music for years to come.
